FriYAY!!

Image
Fri yay?  Yeah, eww. kill me if I ever do that again.  So halfway through work I somehow ended up with a bloody nose. That was awesome. Thankfully it was minor. I blame the weather... And Obama care. I mean I liked Obama I just really like and overuse that phrase. Where was I going with this?  It's December 29th and they are creating Valentine's displays....wtf.  I am rediscovering Wicca, dolls.  Please look for possible updates over on my Social media.  If you don't follow me on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter (What are you doing with your life?) Then, you haven't seen my latest addition: my Black Veil Brides tattoo. A little birthday present to myself to add to my trash polka sleeve.  It was done by Otha King of Twisted Image Tattoo Parlor in Grayson County, and tool roughly 2 hours I believe.  It was such a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to have more work done by him.   I apologize that the last few posts have been kinda shitty, work is draining

Avelina De Moray

So, as of December 15th, the bags had finally been released from Australian customs after for-fucking-ever, and were due to arrive to Avelina by Monday or Tuesday (So, the 18th or 19th--when they should have arrived the 9th or 10th). The bags finally arrived at Avelina's in NSW on the 19th or 20th.  I'm sooo impatient.  I keep seeing sneak peeks and updates from her Instagram stories, so I'm super excited. At 5:30 AM on the 21st, I woke up to the notifications that my bags tracking info had been uploaded to the DHL site, but nothing has moved.  Bags were shipped on the 22nd, 23rd, and 27th, but there's no way to know which shipment my bag was in.  There were 335/350 total, and the carrier could only pick up 100/day. Ughh...I'm getting so impatient...As of 12/29, there has been no information added to DHL eCommerce Tracking. blehhhh. JANUARY 5th! We FINALLY have a working tracking number from DHL it has been a pain getting through Australian post.  For mor

I don't know about you guys, but few things are weirder to me than seeing a dead artist's name on the "new singles" charts.  Posthumous album releases are nothing new, but are still pretty creepy.  Lemmy Kilmister is the most recent name I've seen come up here, but the album has still yet to be released. Lemmy, former frontman of Motorhead, began working on this solo project way back in the 2000s.  He died from cancer 2 years ago today at the age of 70. Like I said, he's definitely not the first to have material released after their death.  In fact, Freddy Mercury left instructions or just a statement that his music could be remixed and re-released as they see fit to preserve his mighty legacy, and preserve they have.  Even young kids can belt out Bohemian Rhapsody these days--though this doesn't exactly count as a posthumous release. Buddy Holly and Michael Jackson are two of many who have had tracks and even albums  released posthumously and rece

Biersack & Birthdays

First of all, Merry Christmas guys--hope you all got what you wanted out of it.  I got some pretty cool stuff! A new BVB poster..and a SIGNED Motionless in White poster!  Also got a ton of new CDS: -Heaven Upside Down -Fashionably Late -Boom Boom Room Side A -Death of a Bachelor!  So I'm super excited to play those on the way to work. Today, I want to wish a happy birthday to one of my favorite musicians, Andy Biersack! So..the year was 2010..I was far too busy trying to come off as an emotionless asshole that I rejected introduction into what has become probably the biggest part of my life right now: Black Veil Brides.  I was shown the video for "Knives and Pens" as it was reaching viral peak. I remember to this day the white and the screamo. Trying to impress the guy that was never going to be mine, I rejected it for something more metal most likely.  It wasn't until mid 2017 when I rediscovered BVB and dove into a whole slew of awesome music.

Tattoo Friday Realness

Good morning, Kindergothlings.  Up bright and early this morning, enjoying some Youtube and coffee --trying out some new Amaretto creamer and oh-my-glob, it's fantastic. Sitting here with my Dad and Weevip, feeling this out-of-the-blue anxiety.  Getting ready to confirm my tattoo appointment for my birthday--the 27th.  Just about finished my BVB tattoo design, aside from choosing a lyric to put with it:

Would I Have Joined the Manson Family?

Good Morning, Dolls! Actually in a pretty decent mood, guess I'm just glad that it's almost my weekend.  I want to start this week off by wishing a  very Happy Birthday to my Dad.  I know, lots of December birthdays! He is the one that really introduced my sister and I to metal back in 2005/2006 with the "Headbanger's Ball" CDs....and the rest is history xD As I've definitely mentioned before, my childhood wasn't exactly normal... So, there was this girl.  A friend of my sisters, and one of the first acquaintances I had in life. For the purposes of the blog, let's call her Leo.  Leo was my very first exposure to the world of Goth. I thought she was so cool,  she always wore these long black trench coats. She would drink her own blood.. . That part kinda wigged me out. But the one thing that I always was fascinated with was her pen pal..none other than Charlie Manson.  Now, to the rest of the world he was seen as a psychopath, but I have been

Forever 27

Janis  Jim Jimi Kurt Amy ....and the list goes on.  Just like Bonnie and Clyde., you can't rightly claim the theme of death without once mentioning the infamous, "27 Club."  The club consists of the unusual high number of musicians that have died at the young age of 27.   Growing up I always romanticized the club,  much like I did with Charlie Manson. This just came from being a fan of Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, and conspiracy theories.  Every time I would be around Draven or her friends, I would hear about the white lighter . If someone got one in a pack, which you don't see often anymore, they would write on it, or color it with a sharpie.  If someone had an unmarked white lighter and tried to lend it to someone,  they almost always refused, calling it some"bad juju."  Jim, Jimi, Janis,  and Kurt all had the same type of white lighter on them when they died. One of, if not the earliest, legend of The 27 Club goes back to blues gui

A Girl of the Street

You've read the story of Jesse James of how he lived and died. If you're still in need; of something to read, here's the story of Bonnie and Clyde.                                                               -Bonnie Parker  Hey there guys!  Hope all is well on this freezing morning -_- Have I mentioned that I hate Winter...because I REALLY hate Winter!  The Kindergoth Krew is all scattered out today and back to work.  I have one more night to go this week, and it's about to kill me.  I've got a lovely sore throat. ughh. Holliday Grainger  In honor of my mom's birthday being yesterday.  \\HAPPY BIRTHDAY!//  I'm going to do a small piece on something that she's into. Honestly, if she isn't watching "Chopped," she's watching some murder documentary on Investigation Discovery:  Deadly Women, Wives with Knives...that kinda thing.  So, we're going to talk about one of my favorite *deadly women* Bonnie Elizabeth P

Death-cember Friday Realness

So, I hope you all enjoyed my "Ask A Mortician" featurette, she really had become one of my favorite Youtubers.  No other videos have opened such a real conversation for me irl.  Today is a rough day, it's one where my mom is at her sickest so I am bringing jello and hot tea.  I have to work tonight so I need to be sleeping, but I am here watching Youtube and waiting for my Killstar order to arrive with Draven and Midna's Christmas presents ^_^ Most people here at Kindergoth are happy it's Friday, but that doesn't mean anything to me because I have to work all weekend.  I think Draven does too, but everyone else will be home.  Death-cember In with the cold comes the creepy.  As much as I can, I'm going to focus on dark shit.  Winter is a negative time for me.  Normally, I'm really upset and depressed until the Spring rolls in.   A few days ago, I started antidepressants for the first time.  I'm not sure I'll be seeing actual results for a

The Reality of Mortality | Ask A Mortician Featurette

I was first introduced to the death positive movement when I started questioning the issues with modern embalming... Alright, that's a lie.. My first impression of the death positive movement, and probably the most famous mortician,  Caitlin Doughty, came rather unexpectedly. As with most Youtube channel discoveries, it came at  4am  one morning,  and I was completely fascinated by her responses to "insidery death questions." The first video I watched of hers was an explanation of the different ways to close the mouths of corpses...Needle injectors and hand stitching are the mainstream ways to do so,  in case that question was burning through your dura mater.  I don't know what fascinates me more: the comedy of trying to ease someone into the finality of morality..or her historical penis factoid collection. It's a tossup! In all honesty, Caitlin's videos have given me a lot to think about.  Who else walks through Walmart at  5am  thinking

Friday Realness *Mental Health Trigger Warning*

DISCLAIMER: post mentions depression and suicide, click away if this is an issue for you. I wouldn’t exactly say “suicidal” but there have been a few instances where I’ve been driving and thought “what would happen if I just turn into this oncoming traffic...or off that steep embankment.”  And, of course, I’d spend the next several miles trying to shake that off, and argue with myself that I’d even had it. If I contemplated the root of my depression, I’d be typing until I died, and maybe they’ll be another time for a bit more of my backstory, but today is not that day.  Last night I said “chronic depression”  out loud to my mother for the first time.  Which was immediately met with something along the lines of “You’re an adult, why don’t you do something about it?” I mean, yeah...but I need an adultier adult. Since graduating college,my severe anxiety has morphed into this Chronophobia of sorts.  Technically, it’s the fear of the passing of time. To me..it’s the fear of ti
